Stetley Notes: notes only you can read
Stetley Notes is joining the suite. It syncs your notes between your Mac and iPhone end-to-end encrypted: our server holds them, but can’t read them.
What end-to-end encrypted means here
Your notes are encrypted on your device before they leave it, and only your devices hold the keys. Our server can’t read your notes. It sees only what it needs to sync them: how many encrypted records and files your library has and how large they are, how many devices you have, and when your library last synced. Never a title, a word or a file name.
Where it stands
- Stetley Notes is the Mac and iPhone notes app formerly called Cairn, renamed and joining Stetley.
- Syncing through Stetley is end-to-end encrypted. If you only use Apple devices, iCloud sync stays.
- A web app is planned. We’ll say here when it’s ready.
